Having filmed with Peter a few years before, we were commissioned by Messums to create a film to accompany his most recent exhibition, ‘London: the return’. Having documented life in the city throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, it seemed only right to visit iconic spots such as Trafalgar Square and Hammersmith Bridge when filming, as well as Peter’s studio in Bath. Our aim was to explore not only how the events over the past couple of years have affected his subject, but his process and mindset also.
